Global News
Globalnews.ca offers Canadians from coast to coast a host of news and information – from breaking news in their community to deep engaging content that puts complex world issues in perspective

During my time at Global News, I broke many national stories such as the disqualification of Patrick Brown from the 2022 Conservative leadership racethe resignation of Michael Brind’Amour, the chair of the Hockey Canada Board of Directors, and Meta's decision to reinstate former U.S. President Donald Trump's Facebook and Instagram accounts.

My duties include monitoring the news, writing breaking news, posting on Global's social media accounts, and assisting the Broadcast team when needed. I also pitch stories to editors on a weekly basis. Some of the stories I pitched include how Canada's open work  permit program for Hong Kong Kong residents has created barriers for workers; China's anti-COVID lockdown protests; and how Ukrainian Canadians are spreading kindness to people in war-torn Ukraine during the holiday season.
