Being born and raised in Hong Kong, she has experienced the city's ups and downs, and this has allowed her to perceive the world differently.
Because of that, she is able to apply her language skills and perspectives when covering China-Canada relations.
She graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) in June 2022, formerly known as Ryerson University. During her time at TMU, she was the news editor at The Eyeopener for two years where she covered student politics, and notably, the fall of the Egerton Ryerson statue.
In 2022, she won the John H. McDonald Awards for Excellence in Student Journalism: News Reporting Award along with her colleagues at The Eyeopener.
She hopes to bring stories that were untold or underrepresented to light. But most importantly, she hopes YOU enjoy them!
